Vulpes vulpes
The red fox lives across more of the world than any other wild carnivore. In winter it can hear small animals moving under the snow and pounces on them from above. Most red foxes have a white tip on the tail.
Colors to reach for
Use rust orange and red-brown for the coat, white for the chest and tail tip, and black for the legs and the backs of the ears.
